There are a number of financial support options available for St. Anne’s Sixth Form students. These include financial help from various bursary schemes, to help with the costs of studying, as well as Free School Meals for eligible students and 50% Travel Discounts
There are a number of financial support options available for St. Anne’s Sixth Form students. These include financial help from various bursary schemes, to help with the costs of studying, as well as Free School Meals for eligible students and 50% Travel Discounts

Further details are listed below1: 

(i) Vulnerable Student’s Bursary – this is for students who are unlikely to be receiving financial assistance from parents or carers, so may need a greater level of support to enable them to continue in Sixth Form education.  If you are receiving any of the following in your own name, you may be eligible to receive support towards the costs of studying 

  • In Care/Care Leavers
  • Income Support, or Universal Credit
  • Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments and Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit

(ii) Discretionary Student Bursary – If you are from a low-income household, you may be able to receive help with the costs of books, equipment, trips, travel and other essential costs that may arise during your course for the academic year 

(iii) Bursary Fund Contract – This is unique to St. Anne’s, where in addition to the above, those student in receipt of Free School Meal will qualify for a half termly ex gratia bursary payment whilst enrolled in the St. Anne’s Sixth Form 

(iv)  Free School Meals – You can get a free meal every day if you or your parents receive one or more qualifying benefits 

(v) 16-17 Oyster Card – Get free travel on buses and trams and receive 50% off adults fares on Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and most National Rail services.
