On 13th February a group of Year 12 students were taken to Newnham College, University of Cambridge to gain a greater insight into what it takes to be a successful applicant for the top UK universities. As well as receiving advice on their UCAS applications, they attended a study skills workshop, in which they learnt about the importance of active learning and different techniques in revision. They were also treated to a lovely, guided tour around the beautiful grounds and enjoyed having their lunch in quite a grand hall. This trip has hopefully inspired all the students to aim for the university of their choice with confidence and commitment!
