We are looking to appoint a dedicated and professional Sixth Form Pastoral Manager who will work within the Sixth Form team to support post-16 students and raise achievement by maintaining high standards of attendance and engagement. If successful, you will have a real opportunity to improve the life chances of young women.
The successful candidate will be more than an administrator; you will be a lynchpin in our Sixth Form team. The pastoral manager is the key point of contact for students, staff and outside agencies and is the person that students will look to for support and guidance.
We are looking to appoint someone who is ambitious for our students and who shares our commitment to ensuring that they have a rich and varied Sixth Form experience that fully prepares them for the challenges that they will face as adults.
Experience of working in a school or college environment will be valuable and it will also be an advantage to be familiar with the use of SIMS. However, above all we are looking for someone who: shows attention to detail; is a team player; is flexible, resilient and has a ‘can do’ approach to their work; and who can form strong relationships with young people and their families. Your attitude, potential and willingness to learn are at least as important as your prior experience.
What we can offer you:
- An experienced and dedicated Admin team who share their excellent practice with each other and other departments
- A full induction programme, buddy scheme and ongoing CPD both in house and externally
- A forward looking and over-subscribed school
